About

"Resistance is usually portrayed as a duty, but it can be a pleasure, an education, a revelation."

From red lining to raising rents, injustice has permeated our cities. Fair and equitable access to space is an ideal, not yet realized. Space for Justice is committed to raising awareness about spatial inequities. This site is a medium to highlight the injustices in our cities - past, present, and forthcoming.

Celebrations of justice wrought and fairness won are found here too. In the fight for spatial justice, most victories are absences: highways not built, buildings not town down, rents not raised. It is vital we celebrate our victories so we remember that change is possible.

Consider following some of our suggested social media accounts. Even well-meaning people can perpetuate a harmful status quo if they remain uninformed. Today, it's easy to add new voices to your daily feeds. Slowly, new perspectives will walk with you through your cities, and you will see things differently. We hope you'll be moved to join the fight for just spaces.
